Dashrath Manjhi carved a path 360-foot-long through-cut, 25-foot-deep in places and 30-foot-wide to form a road through a mountain in the Gehlour hills !!!
All this work took 22 years of his life,working day and night for 22 years from 1960 to 1982 and finally HE MADE a path from mountain !
The reason behind his extra ordinary work is his late wife , who passed away just because of larger distance of his village from hospital...After his work the distance reduced to mere 9 miles from 22 miles !!!
