The TACOMA Bridge was opened on July 1,1940,which was 3rd LONGEST SUSPENSION bridge covering 5960 feet , was collapsed November 7 only because of WIND !!!
During construction ,aerodynamic forces were not considered , and due to strong wind , bridge started to oscillate and the frequency matched natural frequency of material leading to collapse !!!
